Bobby Wagner elevated the entire Rams defense after signing as a free agent last year but his tenure in Los Angeles only lasted one season. He and the Rams mutually parted ways this offseason, which opened the door for a reunion with the Seahawks.
He stepped right through that door and signed a one-year deal with Seattle on Saturday, re-joining the team he spent his first 10 seasons with. Cooper Kupp loved not having to play against Wagner last season while they were teammates, but they’ll go back to facing each other twice in 2023 now that Wagner is in Seattle.
Kupp had a funny reaction to Wagner’s move on Twitter, backtracking on his tweet from a year ago.
WELP! 🤣 https://t.co/ouoxPyQLUH

Wagner recorded 140 tackles, six sacks and two interceptions with the Rams last season. His best game came against the Seahawks in Week 13, his first game against his former team. In that loss by the Rams, Wagner had seven tackles, two sacks, one interception and three tackles for a loss, doing everything he could to beat the Seahawks.
