NFL Network will be releasing its rendition of the top 100 players list in the coming weeks, which tends to lead to discussions in the football community. Pro Football Network’s Dalton Miller recently compiled his own top 100 players list, with Cooper Kupp and Aaron Donald being the only members of the Los Angeles Rams mentioned.
There are six wide receivers ranked ahead of Kupp —who came in at No. 55 — on Miller’s list. Those six wideouts are Justin Jefferson, Tyreek Hill, Davante Adams, Stefon Diggs, A.J. Brown, and Ja’Marr Chase.
After winning the Offensive Player of the Year award and Super Bowl MVP in 2021, Kupp saw his production dip in 2022 due to a season-ending ankle ailment. The All-Pro wideout still managed to corral 75 passes for 812 yards and six scores last season despite missing eight games.
Entering his age-30 season, Kupp figures to remain as Matthew Stafford’s primary target, assuming both are fully healthy coming off injuries from a season ago. Kupp is still one of the premier route runners and playmakers with the ball in his hands.
As for Donald, the future Hall of Famer managed to earn the No. 3 spot on Miller’s rankings. He tallied career-worst marks in sacks (5), tackles for loss (10), and quarterback hits (11) in 2022 because of a season-ending ankle injury. The three-time Defensive Player of the Year strung together five straight seasons of having 11-plus sacks before 2022, including the 2018 campaign when he notched 20.5 sacks.
Donald turned 32 years old earlier this year and he’ll be playing alongside a bevy of inexperienced players this season. That being said, he’s still arguably the most disruptive player when he’s healthy, and he’ll be looking to bounce back following a down season.
