Fuel protests cause gridlock in Northern Ireland as tractors block major roads

Fuel protests have caused widespread traffic disruption across Northern Ireland, with slow-moving convoys affecting Belfast and other areas.

On Tuesday evening, a substantial convoy of around 35 tractors, lorries, and trucks, their lights flashing, occupied both lanes of the A1 as it headed towards Belfast. Disruption was also reported near Ballygawley in Co Tyrone.
