When the Minnesota Vikings re-signed tight end T.J. Hockenson, there were some questions about whether or not he had incentives in his contract. That question has been answered.
According to The Star Tribune’s Ben Goessling, the incentives are based upon whether or not Hockenson is named an NFL Associated Press All-Pro.
Buy Vikings Tickets- If Hockenson is named first-team All-Pro, he gets a $500k bonus.
- If Hockenson is named second-team All-Pro, he gets a $250k bonus.
These bonuses are considered not likely to be earned since he has never achieved All-Pro status in the NFL. When he does, the amount of the bonus will go onto the next season’s salary cap.
The bonuses run from 2023-2027.
