Contemporary whisky exhibition to go on show at Scotland's National Museum

An exhibition of contemporary whisky will go on show at National Museums of Scotland.

A selection of bottled whiskies, packaging and related material have been acquired to reflect the 21st century industry will go on display, with 14 objects in total.

Whisky is the UK's largest food and drinks export reaching 166 international markets and shaping perceptions of Scotland around the world, and new distilleries keep opening with the industry vying to become more sustainable.
