UFC legend Conor McGregor congratulated Paddy 'The Baddy' Pimblett after the Scouser defeated Jared Gordon at UFC 282 on Saturday evening.
It was Pimblett's pay-per-view debut for the promotion, taking the co-main event slot at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Gordon was tipped as his toughest test yet but Pimblett managed to secure a unanimous decision victory - though the decision has been heavily scrutinised.
Pimblett remained unwavering in his belief that he had won easily however and can now call on the support of McGregor, who has praised him for his performance.

McGregor Tweeted: "Congrats Paddy 'The Baddy' this weekend. Doing all the right things despite what you’d think. Great stuff. Onward."
McGregor is known to be a long-time supporter of Pimblett and fellow Liverpool fighter 'Meatball' Molly McCann, face-timing the pair when they visited his Black Forge Inn pub in Dublin.
Despite opposition to his weekend triumph, 27-year-old Pimblett now has a 4-0 UFC record, which could lead to him soon coming face-to-face with a ranked opponent as he looks to climb the ladder in the mixed-martial arts sport.
When asked about what was next in the octogen for Paddy the Baddy, he said: "We'll see. I'm not going to lie, I've hurt my right foot in that first round there. My right foot's in a bit of pain. I'm going to have to get that x-rayed, but was that fight of the night or what? Who's a hype train? Who's the f***ing hype train?"
