Conor McGregor's sister opens up about harrowing medical procedure

Conor McGregor's sister has opened up about her harrowing experience with a breast implant procedure gone wrong.

The Dancing With The Stars competitor said little to her knowledge the implants used in the procedure were not medical grade materials. She was just one of the thousands of women caught up in the PIP scandal that saw botched surgeries occur across Ireland.

The PIP implants were made from a cheaper silicone and would therefore be prone to rupturing and potentially causing severe medical problems. Erin was quoted a €7,500 price tag to fix the surgery.

Writing on her social media, Erin said: "So I had my boobs done a million years ago and they are pip implants, basically the big f***in horrible scandal where they changed the product that was approved into a product that causes cancer.

“I’m terrified to go under the knife because if anything happens to me what happens [my son] Harry. They are still fighting in the courts because of this awful thing. But I’ve decided I need to have them removed and redone. I’ve decided it’s a must."

In response to a patient who replied to her saying she is experiencing the same thing, Erin, 41, revealed she has been quoted thousands to get the surgery corrected.

She added: "Lots of breast implant questions. I will have to have them redone and I haven’t had them done yet. It’s more expensive bc because it’s revision. I actually don’t care about that, I’m just dreading it. I was very sore after them."

Erin is currently in Ibiza where she celebrated brother Conor’s 34th birthday at the weekend in a lavish party, Dublin Live reported. Among those who joined the Dubliner at the Spanish tourist trap was his fiancee Dee Devlin, mother Margaret, niece Taylor plus other family and friends.
