Conor McGregor's latest boxing video criticised as "not believable" by UFC rival

Another of Conor McGregor 's recent training videos has been critiqued by UFC rival Henry Cejudo.

McGregor has posted several training videos in recent weeks as he gears up for his octagon return later this year. The Irishman is still recovering from the broken leg he suffered in his last fight, so is mostly working on boxing in his sessions.

Cejudo has attempted to give McGregor pointers in several training clips, only for 'Notorious' to label him a "fat midget novice" and asking him to stop messaging him. 'Triple C' didn't get the message as he weighed in on a video of McGregor hitting pads with his coach.

"Too much, too much wind telegraphs what you’re doing which makes it not believable. Half punch the front hand to disguise the back hand. It’s not about the combination but how you hide everything with a big surprise. Sincerely the goat - humble Henry," he wrote.

McGregor was criticised for taking a 'boxing-heavy' approach to his last two UFC fights, both of which he lost to Poirier. Fans have since weighed in on his training footage, urging McGregor to go back to his karate-focused style that guided him to success early on in his career.

"I just hope you try to incorporate your karate more into your fights again," one user commented. "That’s when you were absolutely dominant. Since the swap to the more stoic boxing style you haven’t been performing as well. Certainly haven’t been doing bad, but the agile style I would like to see again."

Another user agreed, writing: "I know, he's definitely better now but his previous style works so much better. I couldn't believe he came out boxing and throwing leg kicks against Dustin."

A final user critiqued McGregor's lack of movement in the clip, writing: "This is all good, but where’s the movement? Don't get me wrong I am not trying to come at Conor or something, just on all the footage I’ve seen of him is him training that hand left hand."

McGregor named his punching technique in the clip "bow and arrows" and likened himself to legendary martial artists Bruce Lee. He vowed to show the technique off in his next fight, writing: "I will sink these bow and arrows into the target. In live fighting. For the world to witness. Again. But these arrows are different than before. Corkscrewed. Knuckles."
