Conor McGregor’s father Tony has revealed he almost sold his famous son’s first boat, The 188.
It was the Notorious’ first boat he bought out of his massive pay packet.
The boat was called "The 188" after the amount in euros to social welfare his UFC star son got, before he became famous.
Tony, who is known as the international yachtsman of leisure, revealed he almost traded it in last year for a new vessel in France.
He said: “To be honest with you, I was looking at another boat and I did go to view one last year in France but I was pipped to the post on that. I’m happy with the 188. I’m still getting great seasons out of it. I’m still getting great fun and great adventures on it.”
The Dubliner also revealed he would love to follow in his daughter, Erin’s footsteps, and take part in Dancing With The Stars.
Erin, who was partnered up with pro dancer Ryan McShane, appeared on the show in 2018 and lasted 11 weeks on the show before being voted off.
Tony said he would love to don the sequins for a spot on the glitzy Rte One show.
“No, never been offered. I am a fan of Dancing With The Stars., It would be good. It’s a good fitness regime as well.
“I’d be well up to the challenge because I’m fit, I’m agile, I keep myself fairly fit.
“I wouldn’t turn it down if the offer came my way,” he added.
