Conor McGregor rejects tips from "fat mess" ex-UFC champion Henry Cejudo

Conor McGregor has refused the advice of fellow two-weight world champion Henry Cejudo, branding the American a "fat mess".

The former lightweight and featherweight UFC title holder took to social media in his latest 'tweet and delete' spree after Cejudo critiqued his recent training footage. McGregor and the American have been going back-and-forth for weeks as their rivalry heats up, although the Irishman generally gets rid of his posts after the fact.

And he did similar this time around after refusing to take on board advice from the Olympic gold medalist, who was pointing out flaws in his recent boxing video. McGregor has brought his training team with him as he travels in Europe, and shared footage of himself hitting pads as he works towards his octagon return.

Cejudo made his critiques public, saying: "MMA is different than boxing; if you over turn your hips it leads to easy takedowns. It’s hard to recover your position if you over throw your hips. You essentially add more time to whatever punch you throw next. You really need to understand setup punches. - Sincerely the GOAT [Greatest of All Time]."

McGregor replied with a series of tweets. One said: "God bless you. Hold on tight. I just want to crush the head not hold. I'll be there on bottom fighting 'evil' if I 'overthrow' my hips, over throw; nice word. Come back and hit a throw. Whatever after that, launch someone. Make the splash kiddo. You a fat mess the last 24. Truth."

Another added; "I'm nasty from bottom. Really. Evil. I don't care, shoot, hold, I've nasty weapons here. I'd do whole fight here if I had to. Where was he going please master splinter's second cousin? Where was he going? I'd scoot in to butcher I had to on God. B's in my account."

Cejudo clapped back by referring to McGregor as the "king of cringe", which was the American's famous nickname during his career for his unique brand of trash talking. This enraged the Irishman, who turned to further insults towards the ex-bantamweight and flyweight champion.

"That's it?" McGregor asked after Cejduo's cheeky response. "Answer the f***ing question you little p*** ant s*** stain. I'm live in this game like a grenade no pin. Cannes with two yachts and a steel bar in my leg. Raring to go. Chopard. Chop you up."

McGregor then posted a series of messages, saying: "I'm legitimately blood royal Highlander two swords and an axe. And horses. Land. acreage. Hectares. Bought all my neighbours gaffs. Wanted more acres, paid above board always in some way. God put me in this position to be friendly fair."

He then replied once more to Cejudo's criticism, adding: "Same thing anyway, try and hold. I don't care, I'm trying to find nasty shots to end a person here. Them elbows are no joke. Nor the upkicks. Everyone's ground and pound is p***. Not a scratch has there ever been on me. Mendes only one. Fair play all the same; bare-knuckle Chad."

McGregor also teased his return to action once more. He ended his tirade with a tweet saying: "You learn so much each time in competition. It's actually madness. Competition is life! Can't wait to return. 22!"
