Conor McGregor has been praised for his "coherent" tweet in which he praised the fighters competing at UFC 273.
McGregor was commenting on the eight fighters who appeared at the press conference for this Saturday's card, such as Khamzat Chimaev, Petr Yan and Alexander Volkanovski. The Irishman was also unhappy to see no face-offs take place after the event.
"Great to see all the young pups up there today! We do face offs always here," McGregor wrote. "Correct this going forward. Awesome stuff! Is it a “big fights feel” somewhat right now with this card? I think so! Let’s go fighters, bring it home! 60g’z Dana! Up the bonus, let them go for it!"
It's a rare tweet of praise from McGregor, who has been involved in rows with Henry Cejudo and Kamaru Usman recently on social media. Fans have weighed in on his recent tweet, with one user likening it to the persona McGregor showed before his fight with Donald Cerrone and rematch against Dustin Poirier.
"This is just one of Conor's many personas. We saw this version of him last during the Cerrone fight and the lead up to the second Dustin fight," the user wrote. Another said "New mythical fighter; Coherent McGregor".
McGregor appeared in court on Wednesday over alleged dangerous driving charges. Another commenter thinks McGregor's tweet of praise is an effort to try and redeem himself for his recent legal troubles.
"Whenever he's done something publicly bad he puts on this persona to try to redeem himself for a few weeks, come fight night he'll probably tweet some snark things that will be deleted overnight," the comment read.

A final commenter thinks McGregor is trying to set up a future fight with featherweight champion Alex Volkanovski, who defends his title against The Korean Zombie at UFC 273.
"I think it's because he has some fantasies about Alex calling him out in the near future which would be a complete beat down," the user wrote.
Volkanovski has previously called out McGregor for a fight, but the Irishman brutally replied: "I’d kick this volovski head off like it was a rugby ball I was kicking. 5’4! And full of muscle! Hahahahaha little fart he is. Not even a little fart. A s****".
Despite McGregor's comments, Volkanovski named the former two-weight champion in the top three fighters of all-time. The Australian credited McGregor's legacy and the money he's made during his UFC career for his place in the top three.
