To this day, the UFC superstar is still heavily involved in the club. Back in the Summer of 2020, McGregor revealed that he funded the major redevelopment of the side's clubhouse.
Even before then, McGregor had been helping the club by becoming shirt sponsor of the club through his McGregor Sports and Entertainment brand.
Earlier on Thursday, McGregor was making a much different appearance in Dublin. The 34-year-old UFC star was back in Blanchardstown District Court, where he fist-pumped fans and posed for pictures afterwards.
McGregor's legal team made a "proposal" to gardai in his dangerous driving case as he appeared before a court on Thursday morning.
McGregor recently returned to Dublin to step up his training for his UFC return. 'The Notorious' last set foot inside an Octagon in July 2021 where he suffered a horrific leg break in a second successive loss to Dustin 'The Diamond' Poirier.
