Conor McGregor has brutally hit back at Henry Cejudo after the ex-UFC champion criticised him for going "too far" with his social media rants.
McGregor remains the biggest star in the UFC and remains heavily involved in several rivalries despite having not fought for nearly two years after breaking his leg. The Irishman has been very active on social media and has been criticised for several of his rants including his criticism of bitter rival Khabib Nurmagomedov.
MMA legend Cejudo, who will make his long-awaited return against Aljamain Sterling at UFC 288, has been critical of McGregor in the past and even vowed to make a weight switch to secure a fight. In a recent criticism of the star, he admitted he would not be willing to train him after his comments regarding Nurmagomedov's late father Abdulmanap.
"I think he's offended too many of my good friends," Cejudo said at UFC 288 media day ahead of his title shot against Sterling. At first, yeah, I was kind of a Conor hater then I became a fan. He won me over, but I think he took things a little too far. Talking about Khabib's father after him passing, calling my manager a rat, a terrorist, all that.
"I get sports, and I get the entertainment side, but that's just a little too much for me." McGregor has since hit back at the comments with a short-and-sharp response, shouting to Inside Fighting: "F**k him. F**k him. F**k him."
McGregor is expected to be cageside for Cejudo's upcoming title clash against Sterling at UFC 288 in Newark, and it could be added intrigue given his new feud with 'Triple C'. The Irishman has regularly aired his thoughts on a number of topics on social media, with his trademark tweet-and-delete outbursts stirring rivalries with several members of the UFC community.

Nurmagomedov and McGregor have regularly toed over the line when trading verbal barbs throughout their rivalry which even continued following their clash in 2018. In his most recent crusade on Twitter at the Russian, McGregor vowed that a second meeting would never happen after his rival's MMA retirement.
He tweeted: "Hey, s**t stain on the game, I’m talking as of now it is beginning to bare fruit. We beat their system of fighting on TUF [The Ultimate Fighter]. It's locked down. It’s no wonder s*** pants [Nurmagomedov] scurried. There’s no competing now. The head of the style is too fat a b**** and afraid to compete again. So we win. You can’t compete with us. Watch and witness you rat b******."
Nurmagomedov's manager Ali Abdelaziz then responded: "Javier Mendez trained Khabib to beat the s*** out of you and took your souls away. Mike Brown trained Dustin Poirier to level you back-to-back. Trevor is your worst nightmare because you would not even look at Justin [Gaethje], grow up."
