Khamzat Chimaev has invited Conor McGregor to join him and Darren Till in their training camp as he aims to return to the octagon.
McGregor has been working towards a UFC comeback since breaking his leg last summer against Dustin Poirier, and expects to be back in the cage by as early as the summertime. And he could have some new training partners available to him after rising star Chimaev made the offer to have him join up with he and Till for his next camp.
The Swedish fighter has begun something of a bromance with British middleweight Till since the pair teamed up for training, and now it appears that they want McGregor involved. The Irishman has indicated that he wants a shot at Kamaru Usman's UFC welterweight title in his first fight back, which would push Chimaev down the pecking order in his division.
But that doesn't appear to bother the undefeated fighter, who told him in a tweet yesterday that accompanied a photo of him and Till: "If you want to come back we will help you, we are waiting for you in our camp."
Fans have been delighting in the newfound friendship between Till and Chimaev, with the Liverpool native declaring that the pair have a bromance ongoing. He told BT Sport this week : "We were messaging back-and-forth at the start and we were like 'we'll fight each other and that'.
"Then we just from nowhere, my company on blockasset wanted to do a partnership with him, we got that deal over the line and then we were speaking on a personal level and he was like 'why not come out and get some training in?'
"I said 'yeah I will'. So I spoke to my coach Colin [Heron, owner of Team Kaobon] and asked 'do you mind if I go and get some rounds in with this guy that everyone's saying is the new big fighter?'

"But now we've clicked like never before, every day he says to me 'Till, we're going to take over', and he's getting me back to that 2018 Till that I once was when I thought that I could walk through walls, I swear to God, I can't wait to see what I'm going to be like in a few months - it's a flourishing bromance!"
McGregor will need some of that motivation if he is to defeat the seemingly unbeatable Usman, who has already put down top contenders such as Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington on multiple occasions. The Irishman wants to make history by winning a third world title, which has never been done before in the UFC.
He told The Mac Life this week: "I feel confident against Usman; a jab-happy, sloppy, orthodox wrestler with no submissions whatsoever - what's he going to do? Where's the danger here? I don't see danger - no one has ever obtained three titles in three divisions like I will do if we make this fight."
