Conor McGregor has been named the "best boss ever" after he gifted a luxury Rolex watch to the manager of his Black Forge Inn pub.
The Irish star regularly attends his Black Forge Inn pub in Dublin which he has owned since 2019 when he bought the plush building for around £2 million. McGregor regularly posts pictures with fans and staff on social media during his visits, with famous whiskey brand Proper Twelve also sold in the pub.
Pub manager Liam Flynn posted a video of a Rolex watch gifted to him by McGregor during his visit, where he said: "Look what the best boss in the world bought me. He just gave it to me there in front of everyone in the pub – a Rolex,” Flynn said during an Instagram video while showing off his new gift.
“Now I’m in the club of the Rolexs, which I never thought I would be. Thank you so much Conor, from the bottom of my heart.” He later added in the caption: "Just want to say a big thank you to the best boss ever for making me part of the Rolex club.”
McGregor's pub has become a landmark in the Irish capital city with the UFC star having spent around another £1 million to convert the pub into one of the most sought-after places to visit. He frequently posts updates for fans of him posing with a range of drinks despite previously vowing to fans that he will stop to prioritise his training.
With the Irish star being named as the highest earning sports star for the year of 2021, he later spoke about his plans for the pub and revealed the focus of his business was not to generate wealth. “I did not buy this pub for profit," McGregor said. "I did not have any type of profit in my head in this, I would have been happy losing money here to be honest with you. I just wanted to buy it. Redo it.

"It’s a place I’ve been coming here for many, many years. Myself and my fiancee. And our families love it. It’s been a place we’ve visited since our teens. Trying to even get into the place before we were allowed into the place type of thing.”
The Irish star has now made a return to training after promising fans that he will make the greatest comeback ever to the UFC later this year. Several options have emerged for McGregor's redemption path including immediate title shots at 170lbs against Kamaru Usman and 155lbs against Charles Oliveira.
However the former double-champion has admitted that due to his ripped physique which places him at around 190lbs, he is more likely to make a return at welterweight where Usman has previously reiterated his desire to face the 33-year-old.
