Conor McGregor and his young family were in the Dominican Republic - just hours before a deadly hurricane slammed into the Caribbean island.
Hurricane Fiona hit the island early yesterday morning after knocking out power and causing widespread flooding and catastrophic damage in Puerto Rico.
The hurricane sustained winds of 144 kmph and the US National Hurricane Center (NHC) said."Life-threatening flash and urban flooding is likely for eastern portions of the Dominican Republic.”
UFC star McGregor earlier shared images on his social media post enjoying the surroundings of the Dominican Republic while filming his part in a retake of the 1980s classic Road House.
This modern take on the cheesy but enjoyable Patrick Swayze flick will star Jake Gyllenhaal but McGregor has been cast in a complimentary role - his first chance to show off his acting chops.
The 34-year-old, his fiancee Dee Devlin and their three children Conor Jnr, Croia and Rian are understood to have arrived on the island on Friday.
On Saturday, he wrote on social media “Whole crew in tow, the loves of my life! My other two kids are at the beach with Nanny Mandy,” under a photograph of himself with Conor Jnr and Dee.
As the hurricane continues to threaten the Caribbean with winds and life-threatening rain, it is unsure whether Conor and his family are still in the Dominican Republic or have already departed.
