Conor McGregor confirms he will attend Katie Taylor 3Arena fight - and he has 21 spare tickets

Conor McGregor has confirmed he will be attend Katie Taylor's fight with Chantelle Cameron at the 3Arena this weekend - and he has 21 spare tickets for the fight.

Taylor is aiming to become a two-weight undisputed champion when she challenges English fighter Cameron for her super-lightweight belts at the Dublin venue on Saturday. The hottest tickets in town flew out shortly after they went on sale last month, although there are some still available on Ticketmaster.

However, the remaining tickets for the Bray Bomber's homecoming bout range in price from €511 to over €1,500. Earlier this year, McGregor held talks with Taylor's promoter Eddie Hearn earlier to discuss the security costs associated with staging an event at Croke Park.

But attempts to stage the fight at GAA headquarters fell through and The Notorious later agreed to sponsor the 3Arena show. The former two-weight UFC champion also took to Twitter on Monday to say he had 21 spare tickets for the event, but only for people who can "personally contact" him.

He wrote: "What’s the story folks I’ve a couple of mega Katie Taylor announcements coming all this week, for our Katie's fight! Multiple days back to back! But first I want to announce that I have 22 tickets to the fight itself, in the exclusive “G Cash” seats.

"I only need one seat myself. So 21. Join the G Cash team if you wish to see and support our Katie fight in these prestigious seats. Hit me up. And only of course if you can personally contact me. A G cash. Have a seat."

Taylor is expecting a tough challenge against Cameron as she aims to to make more history in her first professional fight on Irish soil. She said recently: "I feel this is going to be the greatest night of my career so far.

"It has all the makings of an amazing fight - it has all the makings of a fight of the year contender. She's busy, she's exciting to watch herself, she has a big fanbase herself so this has all the makings of an epic fight.

"I don't like being involved in too many of those fights but I hope I make it a bit easier for myself this time around, but this definitely does have the makings of an epic class of fight. I think the training camp has gone fantastically well and I am putting in the work like never before, day in, day out, and I feel like I am prepared for whatever comes my way on fight night.

"I'm feeling brilliant right now and definitely the preparation, you gain a lot of confidence from the preparation that was put in over the last few months, and yeah, I'm expecting a career-best performance on fight night. I’ve definitely pushed myself mentally and physically like never before. Day in, day out just putting the work in."
