Conor McGregor 's recent training video has been labelled the "cringe moment of the year" by UFC rival Henry Cejudo.
McGregor, 34, recently posted a series of videos to his Instagram story of himself doing a unique exercise called "spinal waves". Unsurprisingly, Cejudo has again come to the criticism of McGregor by mocking the exercise and questioning what is wrong with the Irishman.
"Yo, Schmo! I'm gonna show you something that's gonna be the cringe," Cejudo said on The Triple C & Schmo Show. "This might get nominated for cringe moment of the year. Check this out, Schmo. Look at your boy Conor 'McTapper'. What's wrong with him, dude?" Cejudo said before playing the video that McGregor posted on Instagram of himself doing the exercises.

McGregor wrote alongside the video: “Spinal waves for eternal life! Seat spinal waves here and then seated with hands raised. Very difficult! Sitting down isolates the spine further. Can’t get hips involved or sway involved. The spine has to work to move. Great work!" The former two-weight champion is still in the process of recovering from the broken leg he suffered in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier last July.
Cejudo - who like McGregor is also a former two-weight UFC champion - often goads the Irishman on social media and critiques his training videos. McGregor previously labelled Cejudo as a "fat novice" whilst mocking him for his lack of knockout power, despite his impressive finishes wins over Dominick Cruz, TJ Dillashaw and Marlon Moraes.
McGregor's UFC return has been delayed until 2023 after he recently landed an acting role in the remake of Road House, with filming set to get underway in a matter of weeks. By the time McGregor makes his octagon return, three years would have passed since his last UFC win. The Irishman's manager, Tim Simpson, said becoming the best fighter is in the world is still at the forefront of McGregor's mind despite his Hollywood venture.
"Acting wasn't something I think that Conor at the very front of his mind, right now he's still a world class athlete and his focus is being the best fighter in the world," Simpson told MMA Junkie. "But as the injury continues to heal and he continues to prepare for a comeback, the timing worked well. It's a great opportunity to do a big Hollywood blockbuster in meantime and he's going to kill it."
