Conor McGregor has broken his silence after his UFC return was announced.
The Notorious will return to the octagon later this year having not fought since 2021. The Crumlin man suffered a horror leg break in his bout against Dustin Poirier and is on a three-fight losing streak.
But the UFC's biggest star will return to take on Michael Chandler in a fight that is expected to take place in Las Vegas. McGregor shared a snap of himself jogging as he prepares for the fight, saying: "Building nice."

A win for McGregor could see him be in line for a UFC title shot and he will no doubt put on the biggest show on 2023 with his return. Away from the octagon, McGregor has also become involved in talks to get Katie Taylor's blockbuster homecoming fight against Amanda Serrano staged at Croke Park.
Promoter Eddie Hearn had ruled out staging the bout at the Drumcondra venue due to the cost of hiring it. However, McGregor has offered to cover the €500,000 security bill to allow the fight to happen at GAA headquarters.
Hearn has confirmed he is having discussions with McGregor on the issue. He said: “It’s smart marketing for Proper 12. But also obviously he’s a passionate Irishman who loves Katie Taylor and wants to see her accomplish her dream which is one, to fight in Ireland, and two, to potentially do it at Croke Park.
“We talked and he wanted the background, why were the costs so high, what could we do about it and was there an opportunity for Proper 12 as well. I think Conor’s main priority is to see history made in Ireland. We went backwards and forwards.
“We’re going to speak again this week and I may well fly to Ireland this week as well for a few meetings. He spoke about the process for Katie Taylor, which is it 3Arena and then Croke Park or do we try and find a way to make Croke Park happen in May.
"We know there are obstacles there but whatever happens, Katie Taylor’s next fight will be in Ireland and it was very helpful to have a chat with the champ to see what he could do to help."
