Conor McGregor beams with pride over 'supercar of the sea' as he takes yacht out with family

Conor McGregor has gushed over his new €3.1m Lamborghini Tecnomar 63 yacht as he took it out on the water with his family, calling it “the supercar of the sea.”

McGregor, who was named the highest-paid athlete in 2021 by Forbes and has a net worth of $180m, officially took ownership of the luxury yacht at the weekend.

The yacht, nicknamed the 'Supercar of the Sea', is one of less than one hundred that have been produced.

And Crumlin native McGregor boasted in 2021 that he had purchased the No 12 yacht out of just 63 that were made.

It comes with twin V12 MAN engines, which put out 4,000 horsepower and can travel at a speed of 63 knots (117kmh).

The number is in reference to the Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey company which he founded in 2018.

Now, in a series of new posts on his Instagram account, the Crumlin native posted an image of him gazing at his yacht with the caption: “Trying to find the words,” for his 45 million followers.

Another post shows a video captioned “The supercar of the sea” with McGregor, piloting the yacht on a day out at sea, beaming with pride over his new luxurious toy while singing with pals onboard.

Other images show his proud fiancee Dee Devlin and his children Conor Junior, Crioa and Rian waving from the top deck.

Last July, the MMA star posted a picture of the 63-foot long Lamborghini Technomar and referred to it as the best purchase he has ever made.

“I am honoured to secure the Number 12 edition of just 63 to be made,” he revealed on Instagram last year. “1963 being the year Lamborghini first began, and 12 being, well you know Twelve!

"Thank you Giuseppe Constantino and the entire team at “The Italian Sea Group” for your amazing work! Excited to see the finished result during next season's yachting season.”

McGregor, who sustained a broken leg when he kicked Dustin Poirier’s elbow in their UFC 264 lightweight fight in December, is expected to return to the octagon in 2022.
