Conor Benn cleared by WBC as failed drugs test put down to eating too many eggs

Conor Benn has been cleared by the WBC over his failed drugs test ahead of a planned fight with Chris Eubank Jr last year.

Bizarrely, a 'highly-elevated consumption of eggs' has been given as an explanation for the reading.

Benn, son of legendary former world champion Nigel, tested positive for the banned substance before the catchweight bout in October last year.
