Conor Benn is one of three Brits to be removed from the WBC rankings after failing to enrol in VADA's 'Clean Boxing Programme'.
Benn, along with No.7 ranked cruiserweight Chris Billam-Smith and No.9 ranked bantamweight Lee McGregor, were all removed from the WBC rankings on Wednesday.
The two other fighters removed were No.10 ranked super lightweight Mario Barrios and No.4 ranked featherweight Mauricio Lara.
All the fighters still have the opportunity to enrol into the voluntary anti-doping programme and be reinstated in the rankings.
"WBC Clean Boxing Program administered by VADA, has reported to the WBC ratings committee that after multiple attempts to enroll a variety of fighters and after the grace period has lapsed for registration," a statement read.
"Consequently the following fighters have been taken out of The WBC rankings. They will have the opportunity to enroll in the program and be considered by the ratings committee."
Benn improved to 20-0 in December of last year when he brutally knocked out veteran Chris Algieri in Liverpool.
European bantamweight titleholder McGregor hasn't fought since last August when he picked up his third consecutive stoppage win.
Billam-Smith improved to 14-1 last November when he retained his European cruiserweight belt with a win against Dylan Bregeon.
Matchroom Boxing's Eddie Hearn - who promotes Benn - revealed after his fighter's win against Algieri they were targeting a fight with Adrien Broner.
"It is the weight with Broner, he has it in his head that he can come in at 135lbs and 140lbs but he has never made it. I think if he lived a life he could make it at 140lbs," he told Boxing Social.
"He wants to have what he has described as a 'real final run in the sport'. Now is that coming to England in April to fight Conor Benn straight off the bat at 147lbs? Or is that having a fight in American then coming over and fighting him?"

Former four-weight world champion Broner has hinted at a boxing return this year having only fought once in the past two years.
And Hearn said other potential opponents for Benn include Robert Guerrero and Shawn Porter.
"We will discover that soon but we have a global plan for our fighters with star potential and Conor Benn is one of them. We do what we do and make the right moves for Benn," he continued.
"We are developing at the right time against the right names: Adrien Broner, Robert Guerrero and Shawn Porter if he wants to come out of retirement. He is making a lot of money and he is going to be a massive star."
