Connor Ronan insists it’s time for the Buddies to make their home ground a fortress for the rest of the season.
The St Mirren playmaker’s superb strike against Aberdeen sealed just their second win of their Premiership campaign in Paisley on Tuesday night, with the other victory also coming against the Dons all the way back in September.
The Saints welcome Motherwell and St Johnstone to the SMISA Stadium over the next two weeks, before taking on Kelty Hearts in the Scottish Cup on home turf on Saturday, February 12.
And Wolves loanee Ronan is determined to see the club begin to pick up plenty more victories when they’ve got home advantage on their side.
He told Express Sport: “We obviously needed that win.
"We hadn’t won at home in a long time, so to get that win on the back of two other results is great and hopefully we can get on a bit of a run now.
“I think there’s an element of luck in that.
"We’ve played well at home at lot of that time, but we just haven’t had the rub of the green to get the ball in the net in some games.
“But hopefully we can take these three wins and get a bit of momentum going.
“We want to make this place a hard place for teams to come to.
"That’s really important for us going forward.”
