EDMONTON, Alberta - In a remarkable display of skill and talent, Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers has joined an elite group of NHL legends by achieving his 100th assist of the season. This feat has only been accomplished by three other players in the history of the league.

The Oilers' captain, who recently returned to the ice after missing three games due to an undisclosed injury, reached this milestone during Monday's game against the San Jose Sharks. With 4:25 remaining in the second period, McDavid showcased his playmaking abilities by setting up forward Zach Hyman for his 54th goal of the season, extending Edmonton's lead to 9-1.
