Connor Goldson admits he has only trained TWICE but was desperate to return for Rangers.
The key defender was out for two months after suffering an injury against Liverpool in the Champions League but made his big return to action last night as the Light Blues secured a stunning comeback win over Aberdeen with Scott Arfield netting twice in added time to make it back to back 3-2 wins since the World Cup shutdown return.
Michael Beale decided to pitch Goldson in from the start with the stopper playing the full 90 minutes plus at Pittodrie. Ben Davies also came off the bench for the final 30 minutes with the Ibrox men starting to get defenders back off the sidelines after an injury crisis in that position left midfielders like James Sands and John Lundstram alongside Leon King.

It was a welcomed return to the fold for Goldson, who admitted he was exhausted after the game but is delighted to be back out on the field. He told Rangers TV: “I am happy, I am absolutely knackered, I have trained twice but I want to play.
"I knew whenever the first game was that it was going to be hard and I knew that I had to get that out the way and hopefully try and recover now onto Friday. I just wanted to play as soon as I could and I am really happy to be back.
“Tonight, I don't think it is the best we will play but at the same time over a season you have to pick up three points playing ugly sometimes and hopefully with those two victories now it can build confidence.
“It’s a home win and an away win against two of the better teams in the league so hopefully that can give the whole group confidence to now go into Friday and get another three points.”
