Connor Goldson insists he hasn't 'won enough' to be classed as a Rangers legend or to earn a spot in the Hall of Fame.
The defender was brutally honest in saying he shares the frustration of Light Blues fans that the Ibrox club did not 'press on' from winning the league title from Celtic's grasp in 2021. Goldson has been a rock for Rangers over the past few years and has notched up over 250 games in Glasgow. Yet the defender has just two medals to his name and he insists that's nowhere near enough.
Michael Beale's men have a few roadblocks to pass to ensure they don't end up with a trophy-less season, namely the tough task of beating Celtic at Hampden in the Scottish Cup semi-final to put the retention of that prize in motion. And the 30-year-old believes, as he watched the likes of teammates Allan McGregor, Steven Davis and James Tavernier recently inducted in to the Rangers Hall of Fame, that he has some way to go to be considered for such praise.

Goldson also lamented that following Steven Gerrard's title success that there was no 'pressing on' and that the club should have done more.
He said: “I think that we haven’t pressed on - and that’s everything as a club. As a club we could have done more and now we are back to square one.
“I get the whole frustration of the fans that we haven’t kicked on after 55 and gone and won 56 and 57. After we won the Scottish Cup final last season, we have to go and win it this year or our season’s maybe going to bring no trophies.
“We got to a European final last season and we lost it — and now the season after we are not top of the league. There are so many ups and downs that have happened. It’s frustrating.
“I feel I should have won more. Someone spoke to me the other day about the amount I have won and if I play X amount of games after eight years do I think I will be classed as a legend or in the Hall of Fame.
“And I said, ‘I haven’t won enough’. But at the same time it goes hand in hand with when I think back to the team when I came here, where the club was and how far behind we were.
“We have come a hell of a long way. It’s only in Scotland that when we come second or lose a cup final we forget how far we have come.”
He added: “There are players who would have played here in the past who will have come here for two years and won five trophies but not really played a game.
“I’ve played 250 or 260 games and I’ve won two trophies. Is it enough? No. But if maybe I had come at a different time it could have been completely different.
“I can’t beat myself up over where we are as a football club and the journey we have been on because I’m proud of it. It’s been amazing. But at the same time I want more medals.”
