NEW DELHI: The Congress party on Tuesday sought to buttress its demand for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's statement in the Rajya Sabha on the Manipur violence and also send a reply to its critics by stating that the then PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee had also spoken in the House on the Gujarat violence in 2002.
The Congress’s reminder comes shortly after the leader of TMC in the Rajya Sabha Derek O’Brien asked PM Modi to get inspired by Vajpayee and speak in the House like the latter did in 2002.
