Congress spokesperson Jaiveer Shergill quits party, says sycophancy is eating into it like ‘termites’

Alleging that sycophancy is “eating into the Congress organisation like termites”, party spokesperson and one of the young faces of the Congress, Jaiveer Shergill, quit the party on Wednesday.

In a letter to party president Sonia Gandhi, Mr. Shergill said that was resigning from post of the national spokesperson and claimed, “the primary reason being that the ideology and the vision of the current decision-makers of the Indian National Congress is no longer in sync with the aspirations of the youth and modern India”.
