Congress dares Kiren Rijiju to share details of ministers who visited Manipur since violence broke out

NEW DELHI: The Congress on Tuesday questioned Union minister Kiren Rijiju’s remarks in the Lok Sabha that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked central ministers to visit Northeast every 15 days and challenged him to furnish details ever since the Manipur violence broke out 97 days ago.

Intervening in the no-confidence motion moved by Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi against the Modi government, the minister said, "When our government was formed, in the first cabinet meeting, Modi ji made a group and said that every 15 days, five cabinet ministers and seven ministers of state must tour the Northeast. It is still going on, all the ministers sitting here have toured the Northeast."
