Concerns grow for missing man who may have travelled to Glasgow or Ayr

A man has vanished from a village near Falkirk sparking an urgent police search.

Sean Hughes was reporting missing from Camelon at around 9.50am on Wednesday, September 28. The 28-year-old has failed to make contact with loved ones since.

Sean's disappearance has prompted officers to ask for the public's help as part of their ongoing efforts to trace him, as worries mount for his welfare.

He is described as 6ft in height, of slim build with black hair. Cops believe Sean may have travelled to Glasgow or Ayr, as he has contacts there.

Anyone with any information on his whereabouts, or may have spotted Sean, is being urged to come forward as search efforts push on.

Police Constable Carlie-Anne Spowart of Falkirk Police Station said : “We are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of Sean.

"He has connections to Glasgow and Ayr. If anyone knows where he is, please get in touch with Police Scotland on 101, quoting 1037 of 28 September, 2022.”
