Concern growing for 'vulnerable' man who reported missing in Fife

Police have launched a frantic search in an effort to trace a 'vulnerable individual' who vanished two days ago.

Andrew Ward, 47, was last seen in St Andrews, Fife, at around 7.45pm on Tuesday May, 30 and Police Scotland are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts has been urged to come forward.

He is described as 47, 5ft 5 inches tall, slim build, with short light brown hair.

Andrew also has a small moustache. When he was last seen he was dressed for bed and therefore it is unknown what clothing he may be wearing.

Police say that extensive enquiries are ongoing to trace Andrew, who is known to mainly frequent St Andrews and Dundee.

Sgt Andy Kirk said “We are growing increasingly concerned for Andrew.

"He is a vulnerable individual, and therefore it is important we trace him as soon as possible to ensure he is safe and well.

"If anyone has any information, please contact 101, quoting reference number 1567 of 31st May.”
