Concern For Kate Middleton Erupts After Video Catches Prince William’s Public Behavior Towards Her

Prince William’s behavior towards Kate Middleton during a royal outing has sparked a wave of concern online, with some viewers accusing him of humiliating her and showing “zero respect.”

Some people compared the viral interaction with how his father King Charles treated his mother Princess Diana before her tragic 1997 passing.

“The man is clearly very rude. He has his Father’s temper,” one commented online on Prince William’s behavior.

Trigger warning: this article contains graphic details that may be distressing to some.

Prince William and Princess Kate were visiting the Isle of Bute in Scotland on September 17 when the viral interaction took place.

The Princess of Wales was seen chatting with residents when her husband approached her and tapped his watch, playfully nudging her to move along because they had to be elsewhere.

While the interaction seemed like ordinary husband-and-wife banter, some viewers claimed the moment was anything but funny.

“This is horrible treatment and in public,” one commented online, while another claimed, William absolutely DGAF about that woman. You can hear everyone getting uncomfortable as he pushes her to hurry up. How about be a gentleman? What an A-hole.”

“This is beyond embarrassing and shows how he doesn’t respect her OMG. The fact he has no issue doing this in public imagine how he treats her in private,” said another.

Others made far-fetched speculations about what Prince William might be like behind closed doors based on the recent viral clip.

“Tell me Prince William, isn’t allegedly privately ab*sive to Kate Middleton. You cannot convince me otherwise,” one said. “ … Humiliating her in front of people. Zero respect. He despises her.”

Others compared Prince William to his father, “That’s actually really embarrassing for her! This is how Charles was with Diana!”

On the other hand, some viewers believed it was an ordinary interaction between a married couple.

“Normal interaction between a husband and wife where the wife is too busy chatting and they have to get a move on. If this is shocking or disturbing to anyone then you all need to get out more,” one said.

“Making a mountain out of a molehill,” wrote another. “They were running late!!!”

“Omg he was joking with her they had to meet people,” one said.

“You can tell by his expression and her reaction that he’s just joshing with her, playing up to the crowd in a typically British ‘oh, here we go again, she’s chatting too much’ kind of way,” said another.

King Charles and Princess Diana had a notoriously troubled marriage, with many accounts of arguments and infidelity.

“He has a huge temper,” Christopher Andersen, author of The King: The Life of Charles III, told Fox News in 2022.

“I mean, it’s an incredible temper,” he said, adding that his “tantrums” were constant and even threw a “bootjack” once.

“It’s a heavy wooden device for putting on hunting boots, and it’s made of iron and wood. He threw it at Diana’s head and just missed her,” he claimed, based on information he allegedly received from King Charles’s former valet Ken Stronach.

Andersen claimed there was a lot of screaming, shouting, and slammed doors in the palace before their divorce was finalized in 1996.

“There [were] many violent episodes. It could have gotten much worse. And [security] was afraid that not only somebody might commit s**cide, that somebody might do harm, [but] we might be talking m**der,” the author alleged in his book.

“So they tried to keep the weapons away from the royals,” he wrote.

Princess Diana’s brother Earl Charles Spencer recently made explosive comments about King Charles in his book

This week, major accusations were leveled against King Charles by his former brother-in-law, Earl Charles Spencer, whose book Swan Song: Diana, My Sister is releasing on September 22.

He claimed that days before Princess Diana’s funeral in 1997, he had a phone conversation with King Charles, who was the Prince of Wales at the time.

Buckingham Palace pushed back against Spencer’s recent allegations with a rare statement

“He unleashed down the phone what I have always taken to be his pent-up contempt for Diana, and his horror that the world was so bowled over by her d**th. ‘Rest assured,’ he hissed, ‘we’ll forget her soon enough!’” Earl Spencer claimed in his book.

King Charles is currently married to Queen Camilla, whom he first met in 1970 and famously had an affair with during his marriage to Princess Diana.

Buckingham Palace released a rare statement this week, addressing the upcoming memoir.

“While we do not comment on books as a matter of principle, His Majesty is mindful that the pain of fraternal grief can cloud reason, affect judgment, and color memory in ways others do not recognize, even many years after such a loss,” the statement said.
