A woman stabbed to death by her violent former partner was “petrified” in the run-up to her death, an inquest heard on Tuesday.
But Concepta Leonard was let down by state agencies, her brother told the hearing.
Concepta, 51, was stabbed by Paedar Phair, 55, at her home in Maguiresbridge, Co Fermanagh on May 15 2017. Her son, Conor Gallagher, who has Down’s syndrome and was 30 at the time, was also injured in the attack.
