Dancing On Ice glides onto screens on Sunday, January 15, with a supercomputer forecasting former The Wanted singer, Siva Kaneswaran, will win this year’s series. The BonusCodeBets supercomputer – which correctly predicted 33/1 outsider Hamza Yassin would win Strictly Come Dancing 2022 – has determined this year’s champ by analysing characteristics of past victors, concluding that the most likely winner is a 30 year old male actor, with an international skating partner.
Boyband star Siva (15/2) is fifth favourite with the bookies, and at 34, is the closest match to past champions thanks to his gender, age and the profile of his skate partner. Olympic bronze medallist, Nile Wilson, the current bookies favourite (3/1), will be looking to defy the supercomputer when he takes to the ice.
Whilst actors are the most successful on the ice (with 43% of previous winners having come from an acting background) Siva can take solace in the fact that three singers have already been crowned champion (23%) – the last being Sonny Jay back in 2021.
Since the show began in 2006, only four British professional skaters have won the show, proving that an international partner is the key the success. American skater, Klabera Komini, will be looking to guide The Wanted star to victory this time out.
Gymnast Nile Wilson will be hoping to follow in Beth Tweddle’s footsteps to become only the third sportsperson to win the series.
Recent Love Island winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, who also has a background as an actress (and a liar, according to her boyfriend), will be looking to add another ITV trophy to her cabinet. But, since the show relaunched in 2018, no female celebrity has won the competition, with the last victor being Tweddle in 2013 – one of only four women to have ever won the show.
A spokesperson for BonusCodeBets said: "The supercomputer has spoken and has given Siva Kaneswaran the thumbs up to beat the bookies and take home the Dancing on Ice trophy – and after correctly predicting Hamza Yassin to win the most recent season of Strictly, who would bet against it!
“Siva may know how to ‘Walk Like Rhianna’ but history suggests he’ll skate like Torvill and Dean too.”
