A number of Luas stops will be closed due to engineering works this Bank Holiday weekend.
There will be no Green Line terms running between St. Stephen’s Green and Beechwood Luas stops on Saturday, Sunday, and bank holiday Monday due to engineering works. During this closure, trams will run between Broombridge/Parnell and St. Stephen’s Green and between Beechwood and Sandyford/Brides Glen only.
Valid Luas tickets will be accepted by Dublin Bus and for the duration of the works. The Red Line is not affected by the works taking place on the Green Line.

B.oth Red and Green line trams will run on the Sunday timetable on Monday, May 1 due to the bank holiday.
The engineering works on the Green Line will involve breaking concrete in certain areas and repairing rail and are essential to the operation of the Luas system, a notice on the Luas website reads. It goes on to say: "Specialist maintenance teams will start work this weekend on the night of Friday, April 28, and finish the work before the first tram on the morning of Tuesday, May 2.
"The teams will carry out specialist rail works that, unfortunately, will generate significant noise at times over the weekend, occasionally during unsocial hours. This work is essential and necessary for the continued safe operation of Luas."
The works will mostly occur at the following locations along the Luas Line:
- Cuffe Street
- Harcourt Street
- Charlemont Luas Stop
- The section of Luas track between Charlemont and Ranelagh Luas Stops
The notice goes on to say: "Both the Red and Green Lines will run as normal from first tram on Tuesday. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Thank you for your patience and cooperation during these works."
