A fundraiser has been set up for a Grangemouth family "left with nothing" after a blaze broke out in their home.
Fire took hold of the property on Oxgang Road shortly before 12.30pm on Tuesday January 18, while they were out shopping and has left their flat completely destroyed.
A cat and dog also perished in the inferno.
The incident has left nearby locals devastated with one setting up a JustGiving, in the hope of raising £2,000 to help those affected.
Toni Coates created the page, saying: "David and Magda have a son who had no idea what devastation was awaiting.
"They lost their family dog and cat in the fire and I can't even imagine the pain.
"They have no insurance and lost everything they've built. We need to help them start again. Nobody deserves that.
"They only went shopping and came back to absolute carnage. Please help them to rebuild.
"Thank you. Community is everything."
Pictures from the scene showed smoke billowing into the air and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entering the building.
Nobody was injured and the cause of the fire is currently not known at this stage.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 12.25pm on Tuesday, January 18 to reports of a dwelling fire at Oxgang Road, Grangemouth.
"Operations Control mobilised three fire appliances and firefighters extinguished a fire affecting a property.
"No people were injured but one cat and one dog sadly passed away.
"Our thoughts are with everyone affected."
