Community in shock following child’s tragic death in Laois as gardai launch investigation

A community is in shock following the tragic death of a child in Laois.

The young girl died at Portlaoise General Hospital on Thursday afternoon following an incident near Emo village.

Emergency services were called to the scene around 4pm and the child was rushed to hospital.
