India had already secured a medal in boxing through Lovlina Borgohain even before the competition began, while in lawn bowls, Putul Sonowal delivered an impressive win over world champion Ryan Bester in the men’s singles sectional match. The nation will now be looking forward to more strong performances on Day 2.
