Commission knocks back bid to end police pay dispute

The Fair Work Commission has knocked back a bid to finalise a long-running police pay dispute, with a fresh effort to end the bitter stalemate due within days.

The independent body told Victoria Police on Friday it would reject its request to intervene and settle the dispute, known as an intractable bargaining declaration.
