The Washington Commanders continued their preparation for Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers on Thursday. They were back on the practice field, but starting defensive end Dorance Armstrong remained out with a knee injury.
Armstrong injured a rib in Sunday’s loss at Baltimore. He left the game in the first half and did not return. Head coach Dan Quinn didn’t believe it would be a long-term issue for Armstrong. The good news for the Commanders is that Clelin Ferrell returned last week after missing three games.
Here’s the full injury report for the Commanders:
Did not participate: LB Bobby Wagner (NIR, rest), DE Dorance Armstrong (rib), LB Frankie Luvu (toe/NIR)
Limited participants: RB Brian Robinson Jr. (knee), G Nick Allegretti (ankle), DE Clelin Ferrell (knee), S Quan Martin (neck), S Tyler Owens (shin), C Tyler Biadasz (thumb)
Full participants: CB Emmanuel Forbes (thumb), LB Jordan Magee (knee), WR Noah Brown (groin), S Percy Butler (groin), DT Daron Payne (knee)
Carolina’s injury report is lengthy. Eight players, including edge Jadeveon Clowney and wide receiver Diontae Johnson, missed practice Thursday for the Panthers.
