Commanders vs. Giants injury report: Latest updates, news for Friday

The Washington Commanders (6-2) released their final injury report ahead of Sunday’s Week 9 rematch with the New York Giants (2-6). They will be without left tackle Cornelius Lucas.

Lucas injured his ankle in Sunday’s 18-15 win over the Chicago Bears, leaving Washington extremely thin at tackle. Co-starter Brandon Coleman missed the game with a concussion. In good news for the Commanders, Coleman cleared concussion protocol earlier this week and is good to go for Sunday.

The first time the Commanders played the Giants, kicker Graham Gano was injured, and New York didn’t have a backup plan, which cost them a three-point loss. Greg Joseph replaced the injured Gano, but he, too, is hurt and will miss Sunday’s game.

Rookie Jude McAtamney is expected to be elevated from the practice squad to be the Giants’ kicker for Sunday. It will be his first NFL game.

New York will also be without punter Jamie Gillan.
