Comedy fans will be making up the congregation at Newcastle Cathedral on special evenings from this summer when a new entertainment programme gets under way.
The city landmark is set to ring with laughter as it hosts a series of comedy events which will feature stand-up stars from across the UK.
And the Cathedral of Comedy shows, beginning on May 21, will see the atmospheric cathedral nave transformed by night as audiences mill around enjoying food from a mix of local vendors as well as drinks from a fully-stocked bar during their evening of entertainment.
