Comedian and actor Pat Shortt has revealed he once sleepwalked into a family’s hotel room following a show in the west of Ireland.
The Tipperary man said he woke up to a woman and her husband screaming at him but it wasn’t until he saw their two children that he realised his mistake.
Explaining, the hilarious mishap, Pat said: “I have a habit of sleepwalking when I’m very tired and I’ve had a few drinks.
“I did a show in the West of Ireland and I went back to my room and I fell asleep and I woke up to this woman screaming at me.
“Her husband standing in his underwear saying ‘everyone calm down, everyone calm down’, I was going ‘what the feck are these people doing in my room?’
Speaking on Angela Scanlon's Ask Me Anything, the 54-year-old continued: “And I looked over and saw two kids in the bed and I said ‘this isn’t my room’
Pat said he had gotten up to go to the toilet and in a conversation with the woman afterward he found out she heard her own flush before the encounter.
Thankfully, the comedian confirmed that he had all his clothes on during his late-night walk.
He added: “So obviously, I went out and wandered around the corridor and went into their room and had the decency to use their toilet before I got into bed between the two of them.”

Funnyman Pat also spoke about the success of his "Jumbo Breakfast Roll" song, he said: “It’s amazing, I wrote it years ago for a show and I did it on the Late Late Show, god it must be 16 years ago now … it became viral before viral was a thing.
“Ruth Scott was a DJ on 2fm at the time and she championed it and we went and recorded it and it became the biggest-selling single of all time in Ireland.
“It’s great fun but every time I’m in a bar down in Clare or somewhere like that, suddenly there is a microphone handed to you and it’s playing in the background.”
The entertainer, who was recently given the gong Best International Short for his directorial debutal for Warts and All, also revealed one of his daughters attended a One Direction gig in Croke Park and phoned her dad afterward to tell him that Niall Horan performed a verse of the song.
During the interview, he also spoke about performing alongside Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe in the theatre show Cripple of Inishmaan.
Pat recalled how he and the cast went to a bar for drinks and when he was there the Hollywood superstar began singing the “Jumbo Breakfast Roll” song.
But he said the funniest part was there was “a gang of nurses from Cork and they were in the bar and they asked me for a photograph and they gave him (Daniel Radcliffe) the camera and asked him to take it.”
He described the Harry Potter star as “a really cool guy, lovely man to work with, a great actor" and said he loves Irish Comedians.
During his time in London, he also told how his daughter Lily dropped her suitcase down a flight of stairs in a theatre and just when it got to the bottom Mad Men star Jon Hamm opened the door and was “taken out”.
