David McSavage has said he is "surprised" they haven't cancelled The Late Late Show - but says he "couldn't care less" who takes over from Ryan Tubridy.
The comedian also hit out at his own cousin never having him on the show for fear of what he might say.
And the Dubliner joked he's throwing his name into the ring for Ryan's job.
He told The Irish Mirror: "I’m definitely throwing my name into the ring. Could you imagine?

"I’m surprised that they still haven’t cancelled that show yet.
"The f***er has never had me on. Why is that? I guess he is afraid of something I might say.
"Yeah, no we’re not close. He’s a nice guy but f**k him. He’s never had me on his show but I don’t care."
Asked who he thought should take over The Late Late Show, he ranted: "I couldn’t give a fuck. I have to be honest. I watched the Late Late Show in 1983 for a few months when it was relevant. I couldn’t care less.
"The interviews are lame. I’m doing a podcast with my ex-wife, called And That’s Why We Are Not Together. And that podcast is way better. Way better than The Late Late Show."
But McSavage wished Ryan well.
"I wish Ryan well but he hasn’t had me on ever so I am dead to him so he can’t stop me from expressing an opinion.
"I don’t like the Late Late Show. The interviews are lame and that format is way past its sell by date and I don’t know who watches it.
"I think people who are dying in hospitals like The Late Late Show because it doesn’t challenge them," he added.
It comes in the wake of McSavage hitting out at a heckler who threw a pint over him during one his gigs in London.
The heckler "took umbrage" with something the comedian said.
She proceeded to hurl her drink at McSavage, who swiftly moved his head to the side to dodge it.
Recalling the moment, McSavage told us at the time: "My attention was taken away from this show because she was chatting to a friend about what she should do and I was looking at her going, ‘oh yeah you probably want to kill me after the gig’ and then she threw her pint at me."
He slammed the heckler as a "brat" and said it was a childish action.
McSavage said: "A little f****ng brat. But it could be a trend that Will Smith started. It’s really rude. It’s childish.
"The arrogance of someone who because they disapprove or don’t like something that is being said in the context of a gig and they are so self-centred. What about everyone else there who were clearly having a good time and also she wasn’t the brightest person either.
"Then another part of me thought ‘I’m kind of glad that I can provoke people’."
The woman was swiftly removed from the audience by security.
