The Indianapolis Colts placed the tender of right of first refusal on restricted free agent Ashton Dulin on Monday, per Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star.
Because the Colts tendered Dulin at the right of first refusal, they will get the chance to match any offer he receives in free agency. If the Colts opt to match that offer, he will remain with the team. If not, Dulin will then sign with the team that made the initial offer.

If Dulin stays, his salary for the 2022 season will be $2.433 million.
Though he didn’t see much work as a wide receiver, Dulin made some impact plays. He caught 13 of 22 targets for 173 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown.
His biggest impact came on special teams where he led the Colts with 17 special teams tackles—good for the second-most in the NFL. Dulin also averaged 25.8 yards per kick return in 2021. He was named to the All-Pro Second Team.
We’ll see what happens if another team extends an offer, but the Colts got in the tender just in time before the tampering deadline of noon.
