The Indianapolis Colts signed linebacker Cameron McGrone to the active roster from the New England Patriots’ practice squad, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network on Tuesday.
McGrone, 22, was a fifth-round pick with the Patriots in the 2021 NFL draft out of Michigan. He spent his rookie season on the injured reserve list and the entire 2022 season on the Patriots practice squad.

An Indianapolis native, McGrone appeared in 16 career games at Michigan. He recorded 11.0 tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks and 91 total tackles (52 solo). At his pro day, he measured in at 6-foot-1 and 234 pounds with 32-inch arms.
