Indianapolis Colts linebacker Shaquille Leonard underwent back surgery Tuesday morning and will miss the remainder of the 2022 season.
Leonard was placed on the injured reserve list after suffering a setback during practice last week. It was speculated that he could miss the remainder of the season if he needed another procedure done.
Just as was the case the first time around, the hope is that this latest surgery will correct the lingering issues he’s been having.

Leonard appeared in just three games this season and was on a limited snap count in each of those games. He never played more than 54% of the snaps and also dealt with a concussion and a broken nose that kept him out for three games following his debut.
The Colts invested a lot of money in the star linebacker last offseason so they will be sure to get him 100% by any means necessary.
If and when that happens remains to be seen, but we won’t be watching The Maniac at all during the rest of the 2022 season.
