Colts OT Bernhard Raimann listed as non-participant on first Week 12 injury report

The Indianapolis Colts listed offensive tackle Bernhard Raimann as a non-participant on the first Week 12 injury report as the team began preparing for their matchup with the Detroit Lions.

Of note, for the second Wednesday in a row, the team held a walkthrough rather than having a regular practice day. With the bye week still two games away, this is a way to manage the players’ workload.

Raimann suffered a knee injury during the Colts’ Week 10 loss to Buffalo, exiting that game early in the first half.

He did not practice at all last week and did not play this past Sunday in New York. Last Friday, head coach Shane Steichen would call Raimann week to week but does not believe that the injury is long-term.

According to Jake Arthur of Sports Illustrated’s Horseshoe Huddle, the team will see how the week goes for Raimann before making a decision on his status for this week’s game.

On the season, Raimann ranks 21st in pass-blocking efficiency out of 81 eligible tackles and 22nd in run-blocking grade, according to Pro Football Focus.

Without Raimann, the Colts have leaned on rookie Matt Goncalves, who like just about any young player, has experienced ups and downs. Over the last three weeks, he’s allowed seven pressures and three sacks, but does rank 26th in run-blocking grade.
