Colts make pair of practice squad elevations for Week 13 game vs Patriots

The Indianapolis Colts announced on Saturday that they’ve made two practice squad elevations prior to their Week 13 matchup with the Patriots, bringing up offensive lineman Mark Glowinski and receiver Laquon Treadwell to Sunday’s gameday roster.

Each week team’s are permitted to elevate up to two players from the practice squad to the gameday roster. Each player can then be elevated up to three times during the season. For Treadwell, this is his second elevation and Glowinski’s first with the team.

Oftentimes these moves are made at positions where team’s are dealing with injuries, which is the case for the Colts here. Indianapolis has already ruled out Josh Downs and Ashton Dulin at receiver, while center Tanor Bortolini is out as well while Ryan Kelly is still on injured reserve.

The Colts signed Glowinski to the practice squad just over a week ago. He’s an experienced right guard, appearing in 124 career games, including 59 games with the Colts from 2017-2021.

Most recently, he would go on to play 520 offensive snaps during the 2023 season, allowing six sacks and 17 pressures, although he graded out decently well as a run-blocker, according to PFF’s metrics.

With the recent struggles that the Colts have had at right guard with Dalton Tucker, perhaps Glowinski could be an option to start there this week, along with Atonio Mafi.

Treadwell would join the Colts just before training camp began. After initially being released during roster cutdowns, he was signed to the practice squad right after, where he has spent the 2024 season.

Treadwell was also elevated for the Colts’ Week 10 game versus Buffalo when Michael Pittman was out. He played seven special teams snaps that game.

A former first round pick in 2016, Treadwell caught seven passes for 58 yards during the 2022 and 2023 seasons with Baltimore and Seattle, appearing in 10 games on offense. His most productive NFL season came in 2021 with Jacksonville, where Treadwell totaled 434 receiving yards with a touchdown.
