Colts’ Kylen Granson in concussion protocol

Indianapolis Colts tight end Kylen Granson entered the league’s concussion protocol following Sunday’s loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 6.

It seems to be a common theme for the Colts this season to have a player enter the league’s protocol following a game. Every week there this season there has been a player on the injury report with a concussion.

Granson is the latest player to be added to that list as head coach Shane Steichen said he reported symptoms after the game.

Only one player for the Colts has sustained a concussion in one week and was able to turn around and be active in the next week. That was tight end Mo Alie-Cox, who played only eight total snaps in the week following his concussion.

Every other player who has dealt with the injury missed at least one game. In the case of Bernhard Raimann and Ryan Kelly, they missed two games.

So Granson will be one to keep an eye on this week, especially considering he’s third on the team in both receptions and receiving yards.
